About us: Sea Change Farm & Flower is a woman-run flower farm in Accord, NY. We are in our third growing season, and we use organic and no-till growing methods to grow beautiful specialty cut flowers. Position: This is a part-time position starting on select dates between now and mid-October, with the option to add additional dates if desired.
Schedule: We are looking for help harvesting and making bouquets on certain Fridays, and staffing our farmer’s market booth on certain Saturdays. Work on market prep Fridays runs from 8am – 1pm at our farm in Stone Ridge, NY. Work on market Saturdays runs 6am to ~3pm and includes the drive to and from Hastings-on-Hudson.
Our new market staff person should be able to work on all or most of the following Friday-Saturday pairs: 7/23-7/24, 8/11-8/12, 9/3-9/4, 9/10-9/11, 10/1-10/2.
Role: Our new staff person will work with our current market assistant in setting up and breaking down the booth, taking payments, talking with customers, wrapping bouquets, and arranging custom bouquets for customers. We will train you on all of these tasks.
Our new market staff person will also be solely responsible for loading the flowers and transporting them to and from the market on Saturdays. Candidates must have a valid drivers license. It is a big plus if the candidate can take their own vehicle on market days. Candidate must also have their own smartphone and be able to use it to take payments via Square while at the market.
Our new staff person will also assist with preparing for market on Fridays at our farm in Stone Ridge, NY. They will work with the rest of our farm team to harvest flowers and arrange them into bouquets to bring to the market the following day.
We are looking for somebody who:
- Is punctual and reliable
- Is responsible handling money
- Has good mental math skills
- Has a valid drivers license and enjoys driving

- Enjoys talking with new people
- Takes direction well and is an eager learner
- Is able to work together closely with others
Compensation: $15/hour (plus flowers!!) on Fridays, $250 per diem on market days if driving their personal vehicle, or $150 per diem if driving our vehicle.
